Clarins Bright Plus Intensive Brightening Smoothing Serum - R605 at Clarins counters or online
The description: Minimise the appearance of dark spots
and achieve radiant youthful looking skin with the Clarins Intensive
Brightening Smoothing Serum. Enriched with a combination of Sea Lily
and Alchemilla extracts, it helps to provide optimal protection against
dark spots while the raspberry extract, biotin and Vitamin C will help
to reduce melanin.
My take: So serums are all the rage these day
and with good reason. It is a concentrated effort to feed active
ingredients into your skin. That is pretty awesome.
I receive this one to try out, however, it was only a 3ml
tester which personally I don't feel like it is enough to gauge a solid
opinion on. Nonetheless, I have been using it for a week and a half at
night only (I feel like it would be a waste to use it during the day
since I had so little).
I like the feel and the scent and it goes on smooth and makes my skin
feel good. I guess because I have been using it in conjunction with my
day lotion and night cream it has been doing a rather good job working
together to luminise and brighten and the lot. I wish I had more though.
I guess it's time to save up and get me the full size soon.
Clarins Bright Plus Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion SPF 20 - R595 at Clarins counters or online
The description: A smooth fluid that simply melts into skin, leaving it matte yet moisturised and radiant while offering protection against UV and environmental damage. Enriched with Sea Lily and Alchemilla extracts, this day cream provides optimal protection against dark spots. Vitamin C, raspberry extract and biotin reduce melanin production to brighten and even the complexion, while white tea extract protects against free radicals.
My take: I was a bit skeptical about this day lotion since I have combination borderline oily skin and it seemed a bit richer than I was used to. However, on my first application I was pleasantly surprised at how hydrating it was without being oily and tacky like many other products I have come across. It does leave a little bit of what I like to call a glow, but that is pretty okay since it goes on under my makeup and makes me look fresh and hydrated without looking greasy. I have noticed a marked difference in the past week and a half, which is saying a lot for such a short space of time. It has a light scent which makes me feel fresh and hydrated as well. Total bonus is the SPF! Love this one too.
Clarins Bright Plus Brightening Repairing Night Cream - R600 at Clarins counters or online
The description: A cream that contains brightening Sea Lily and Daisy extracts to repair damage from UV rays and stress and to slow melanin production for more translucent and even-toned skin. Alchemilla, Raspberry and Vitamin C brighten and even skin tone, along with Parsley and Chamomile.
My take: This night cream is my favourite of all three products. It is rich enough to make my face feel hydrated and yet not so thick and gloopy that I would feel sticky and greasy all night. It has a subtle but lovely scent which I love so so much. I cannot quite put my finger on it but I know the scent from somewhere. It makes me feel so happy. I have noticed a marked difference in the clarity of my skin. It has been a little dull since winter rocked up so this made a real difference. I can really notice that it is a little brighter and not as ashy as it was thanks to the cold. Love it soooooooo much.
Right then, it is time to save up to get this entire full size range.
